Breakfast Smoothie

I have had so much enjoyment from this smoothie, I hope you do too.

In the summer months this is a favourite of mine for breakfast, a balanced easy to digest drink. It has a good range of readily available nutrients and considered a balanced meal by using a quality hypoallergenic protein powder with naturally occurring fats in nuts, flaxseeds and coconut milk and carbohydrates from the fruit, vegetables and superfoods. The reason I add powders to my smoothie is to enhance my mineral & phytonutrient in-take along with vitamins too. Also some powders like maca I find are essential to support my endocrine system.

The Creation

  1. In a high speed blender add all the ingredients, blend until smooth.
  2. Pour into a glass & sprinkle the top with frozen berries, flaxseeds, bee pollen & cacao nibs for extra crunchiness.
